テレサ・ムーアハウスさん、受賞おめでとう！
テレサ・ムーアハウスさんは、
ヘルシンキに暮らすグラフィックデザイナーでイラストレーター。
本のデザインや、雑誌や本への挿絵などを手がけています。
そして、おそらくフィンランド・デザイン大好きな皆さんには、
マリメッコで発表しているデザインで、
彼女のことをご存知なのではないでしょうか？
私たちはこの夏『フィンランドのガーデニング』の撮影で
テレサさんと出会いました。この本では、自然を愛する彼女の
暮らしの中で、どのようにマリメッコの作品が溶け込んでいるか、
ご覧いただけますので、ぜひ書籍もお楽しみくださいね。
そして、この度、テレサさんは
「カウニス・カウリス」のパターン・デザインで、
エル・デコ・ジャポンから
2012年のベスト・ファブリック賞を受賞しました！

ハッピーなニュースに、私たちまでうれしくなってしまいました。
「カウニス・カウリス」はフィンランド語で美しい鹿という意味。
ポエティックなデザインの中に、物語を感じることができます。

Congratulations, Teresa!!
Teresa Moorhouse is a graphic designer and an illustrator based in Helsinki. She designs books and illustrations for magazines and books. And probably many people being attached to Finnish design know her wonderful works for marimekko!
We met her in this summer shooting for “Finland Gardens”. In this book, you can see she loves nature and how to use her works for marimekko in her everyday life.
Teresa got the Elle Decor Japon Design Awards for the best fabric 2012 for her Kaunis Kauris pattern. We are very happy to hear it from Teresa. Congratulations!!!
Kaunis Kauris means “beautiful capricorn”. We can feel a tale in this poetic design.
We are looking forward to Teresa’s coming back to Japan again :)
